The DEEPCOLOR 3400, engineered to ensure high-performance dyeing while significantly reducing effluent discharge compared to traditional drum methods, is the answer for modern tanneries seeking flexibility, speed, and low environmental impact solutions.

An evolution of the renowned DEEPCOLOR 1800, this innovative continuous leather dyeing machine brings our most advanced technologies to a 3400 mm working width, ideal for large hides, such as those destined for upholstery.
It inherits and enhances the strengths of its predecessor, ensuring through-dyeing and perfectly uniform application on both sides of the hide. The dyeing product is applied simultaneously by means of two distinct engraved rubber cylinders, one for the flesh side and one for the grain side.

Its operational flexibility with any type of chemical product and the option to use engraved rollers with varying capacities make it suitable for treating all types of leather (full-grain, corrected-grain, and splits) and various thicknesses.



Main Technical Innovations

  • Robust Structure: A rigid, monolithic high-tensile steel structure ensures stability and precision throughout every working phase.
  • Advanced Roller Change: An innovative 2-position system allows for automatic roller changes, without the need for balancing, optimizing machine downtime.
  • Advanced Electronic Control: Working speed, adjustable from 3 to 20 m/min, and hundredth-of-a-millimeter adjustments to working thickness are managed with electronic precision and digital display. Full control of machine functions is handled via PLC, with parameter display and adjustment on a single, intuitive panel.
  • Optimized Doctor Blade System: The stainless steel ink tray and pneumatically controlled doctor blades ensure homogeneous product distribution. The doctor blades for the upper engraved roller are mounted on a rigid support with bearings for precise movement and include an automatic system to compensate for blade wear, guaranteeing longer life and consistent performance. An oscillating movement of the upper doctor blade further contributes to application uniformity.
  • Efficient Color Management: Pipelines for color distribution and roller washing are fixed directly to the doctor blade and ink tray assembly. The double-diaphragm color pump, with non-stick treated stainless steel recirculation tanks, reduces waste and facilitates cleaning.
  • State-of-the-Art Take-off Device: An automatic mechanism with high-precision toothed rollers, variable speed synchronized with the machine, detaches and conveys the hides at the exit, with a spreading conveyor belt to guide them to the eventual stabilizer tunnel or to the infeed station of the overhead conveyor system.
